The Digital Health Act No. 15 of 2023 became operational in November 2023. The enactment of Kenya’s first Digital Health Act, 2023 (the Act), comes at a time when Kenya is at the forefront in promoting technological advancement and innovation. Further, it is a significant
milestone in the country as it gives effect to the legal framework on data protection and access to information. The Act establishes a regulatory framework for efficient and effective use of technology for healthcare. This Article highlights the key salient features and provisions of the Act.
